    Having spent the last seven years as the Executive Chairman of Alphabet, Eric Schmidt will now serve in the capacity of a technical advisor to the company. Schmidt, whose tenure saw seven successful years at the top feels that “the time is right in Alphabets’ evolution for this transition”. The interim shall see a non-executive chairman in place.
