FirstKey Homes has appointed Alanna Mahone as its new Chief Human Resources Officer, where she will lead efforts across people strategy, organizational culture, leadership development, and overall workforce effectiveness.
The company, one of the largest providers of single-family rental homes in the United States, manages more than 50,000 homes across 28 markets. In her new role, Mahone will guide functions such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and diversity and inclusion. Her focus will be on aligning these areas with FirstKey Homes’ broader goal of delivering quality living experiences and nurturing strong community connections
Mahone brings over 25 years of HR leadership experience, known for her ability to connect business goals with effective people strategies. Her leadership background positions her well to continue advancing FirstKey Homes’ culture of collaboration and engagement, qualities that have contributed to the company’s recognition as a Top Workplace in the industry.
Mahone joined Landmark in 2022 as Executive Vice President, Human Resources, leading the company’s People and Culture functions. Before that, she served four years as EVP of Human Resources at LeasePlan USA, where she and her team supported rapid organizational growth and strengthened employee engagement.
Earlier in her career, Mahone was Vice President of HR at Mansfield Oil Company for five years, managing all areas of HR including recruiting, onboarding, total rewards, and talent development. She also spent a decade at Ricoh Americas Corporation, where she advanced through several HR leaders
Mahone earned a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of West Florida and a bachelor's degree in psychology from Auburn University.
Her addition to the executive team underscores FirstKey Homes’ commitment to strengthening its workplace culture, supporting employee growth, and continuing to enhance the resident experience across its national portfolio.
