Remington Hospitality has appointed Nicole Shanks as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), strengthening the company's executive leadership team as it continues to expand its hospitality portfolio and invest in workforce development. In her new role, she will oversee the organization's people strategy across Remington Hospitality and the Ashford Group of Companies.
Shanks will lead key human resources functions including talent acquisition, leadership development, learning and development, total rewards, human resources technology, and associate engagement. The appointment positions her to shape people strategies supporting employees across the company's growing portfolio of managed hotels.
Nicole Shanks brings more than two decades of hospitality human resources leadership experience to the position. Before joining Remington Hospitality, she served as Chief People Officer at Sonesta Hotels & Resorts, where she led enterprise-wide people initiatives for a portfolio of more than 200 hotels and approximately 9,000 associates. Her experience spans organizational development, talent management, employee engagement, and HR operations across large hospitality organizations.

Prior to her tenure at Sonesta, Shanks held senior HR leadership roles at several hospitality organizations, including Texas Western Hospitality, Omni Hotels & Resorts, Pillar Hotels & Resorts, and Controlled Contamination Services. Throughout her career, she has focused on developing leadership capabilities, strengthening organizational culture, and aligning human resources with business objectives.
