Lactalis Canada, part of the France-based Lactalis Group and known for brands such as Cracker Barrel, Black Diamond, Balderson, Astro, and Lactantia, has named Matt Price as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
Based in Toronto, Price, in his new role will lead the company’s national HR strategy, overseeing talent development, organizational culture, and business transformation. His role will support Lactalis Canada’s ongoing growth and innovation efforts across its workforce of more than 4,000 employees. Areas under his leadership include corporate HR, industrial relations, talent acquisition, organizational development, and total rewards.

Matt joins from Unilever, where he spent nine years in senior HR roles. Most recently, he was SVP HR for Ice Cream Americas. He previously served as VP HR for North America, managing HR for the Nutrition division across the U.S. and Canada, and held leadership positions in Eastern Europe and Canada. His work included leading major transformation programs, talent strategies, and workforce planning across international markets.
