Helmut Schuster is presently the Executive Vice President, Group Human Resources Director at the British Petroleum and has been serving in this position since 1 March 2011. Moreover, he is also the British Petroleum Europa SE- Non-Executive Director.  He joined British Petroleum in the year 1989 and has occupied many leadership roles in trading, corporate and functions, refining, gas and power, and marketing and at different locations such as the UK, continental Europe, and the US. In different roles, he was in charge of about 60,000 people globally in a wide spectrum of businesses like fuels value chains, petrochemicals, and lubricants.     

Prior to working with British petroleum, Schuster has worked with Henkel in responsibilities related to marketing.
