    The BBC recently revealed the salaries earned by the corporation’s highest paid employees and it has been a topic of intense debate since then. Gender pay disparity, as was speculated earlier, is staggering in UK’s largest broadcasting house, with top earner Chris Evans earning £ 2, 220, 000 annually, five times more than the top female earner Claudia Winkleman whose earnings stood at £ 450,000 to £ 500,000 per year.

    Three companies have been heavily fined by the Ministry of Manpower over failure to ensure safeguards against accidents. Two out of three companies, namely Cummins Asia Pacific & Woodlands Transport Services have been fined $80,000 & $130,000 respectively, for the death of a prime mover driver each. The third, Sterling Engineering will pay $280,000 in fines for another accident, back in 2014.
